provide physical supplies

Please help provide physical supplies for the York County Foster Closet, Fort Mill, SC.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO MEET URGENT NEEDS!

foster closet

One of our programs to assist foster, adoptive and kinship families in York and surrounding South Carolina counties is the York County Foster Closet.

The Closet is a store where families and social workers through the Department of Social Services can shop for free for all the items needed to help care for children in their care.

Families can utilize this service the whole time the child is in their care as the child grows with repeat visits.

This includes: clothing, underwear, socks and shoes, diapers, wipes, toiletries, car seats, cribs, twin and toddler beds, bottles, strollers and baby equipment to help ease the physical and financial burden of welcoming a new child into the home.

We collect gift cards to Walmart, Target, Dick's, Academy, Rack Room, and Amazon to provide to teens who come into care so they can hand pick clothing that fits their style and body type.

Purchase needed supplies off our amazon wish list

Items purchased off the Amazon Wish List are shipped directly to Defend to provide to local families at the York County Foster Closet. Our most urgent needs are flagged ‘MUST HAVE’ items!

Frozen Meals

In addition, we collect frozen meals home made by local community groups and distribute to these families when they come to shop!  These meals help greatly on days when families are overwhelmed by appointments, court dates or simply life raising children from difficult backgrounds.
